5.6 magnitude earthquake in Nepal


A 5.6-magnitude earthquake struck a remote area of ​​western Nepal on Friday, according to the US Geological Survey, and tremors were felt in several cities in northern India.

The quake, which struck at a depth of 18 kilometers near the sparsely populated Jumla district, caused no casualties or damage, according to initial reports.

Tremors were felt as far away as New Delhi, nearly 500 kilometers from the epicenter.

In November 2022, a magnitude 5.6 earthquake killed six people in Doti district near Jumla.
