Unable to play in its stadium due to the war in Ukraine, Shakhtar Donetsk beat Barcelona this Tuesday (7), 1-0, in a match valid for group G of the Champions League.
The match was played in Hamburg, Germany. Striker Sikan scored the Ukrainian goal at the Volksparkstadion.
This victory still makes Shakhtar dream of a place in the round of 16 of the Champions League. The Ukrainian team is third, with 6 points, while Barcelona and Porto have 9 points.
In the next round, Barcelona and Porto will face off in Spain, while Shakhtar will face bottom side Royal Antwerp of Belgium, who are yet to score, also at the Volksparkstadion.
Borussia Dortmund vs Newcastle
Still in a match that started at 2:45 p.m., Borussia Dortmund once again beat Newcastle, now at home. The 2-0 victory upset the so-called “group of death”, F.

Until this article was published, Milan were beating PSG 2-1 in Italy, a result which knocks the French out of the top of the group and sends Newcastle to the bottom.
Thus, Group F has Borussia Dortmund at the top (7 points), PSG in second place (6), Milan in third (5) and Newcastle in last (4), with two days to play.
