A Florida mother was arrested early Sunday morning after leaving her 7-year-old daughter alone for hours in an unlocked car while she got drunk at a bar.
According to information from Fox NewsDeLand police officers responded to the Perfect Spot bar shortly before 3 a.m. Sunday after a girl, apparently looking for her mother, was seen near the establishment.
The investigation revealed that the child had been left unattended inside a car parked in a dark parking lot.
One police officer stayed with the girl while others searched for the mother, Veronica Elliott, 35.
We don’t know the exact time the thirty-year-old arrived at the bar, but around 6:30 a.m., after the authorities’ so far unsuccessful searches, the mother went to meet the police.
As he rocked around with his bare feet covered in dirt, he simply asked them what time it was.
She was charged with child neglect.
Her daughter was taken care of by the authorities.
