Gui, illustrious supporter of Vasco, meets President Lula

Little Guilherme, 9 years old, known to be a big fan of Vasco, met President Lula this Tuesday (8).

The meeting between the two was shared on the president’s social networks. Gui carries a rare genetic disease, Epidermolysis bullosawhich causes blisters to form on the skin.

Today I made a new friend, who is a Vasco fan in Rio and is now a Corinthian fan in São Paulo. The boy Gui moved me. Like me, he is passionate about football.

Timão fan Lula said he supported Vasco in Rio de Janeiro and acknowledged his friendship with two former players of the club.

“I’m also a Vasco fan. Did you see that Vasco beat Botafogo yesterday? I’m friends with Juninho Pernambucano, who was a great Vasco player. I was friends with Roberto Dinamite, who was the best center forward at Vasco,” the president said.

Lula called on Vasco fans to support Corinthians at least in São Paulo. “I’m a Corinthian fan in São Paulo and a Vasco fan in Rio. You have to be a Corinthian fan in São Paulo,” he joked.

The meeting took place at the Palácio do Planalto, in Brasilia.
