Macron’s confidences about his professional future – La Nouvelle Tribune


Since his election in 2017, the presidency ofEmmanuel Macron was marked by a series of great challenges and crises that tested his ability to lead the France through turbulent times. Among the most prominent internal challenges, the movement of “ yellow vests ” he notes, having started as a protest against rising fuel taxes and evolved into a broader movement against economic inequality and the perception of an elitist government.

On the international stage, Macron had to face the war Ukraine, seeking to play a mediating role while firmly supporting European positions. Macron also emphasized that politics was not reserved for an elite. According to him, in a democracy, public life belongs to everyone. He encouraged students to actively participate in politics and participate in public decisions. Highlighting his own unusual background, he recalled that he was not a member of a political party or even a politician until shortly before his election in 2017, although he held important positions such as Deputy Secretary General of the Élysée and Minister of Economy.

Macron has insisted on the importance of a vision that brings together the deep aspirations of freedom, creation, entrepreneurship, inventiveness and those linked to order, control and associated values. He believed that these aspirations were not incompatible and could coexist harmoniously within a nation.

He also shared his “three principles of action” that guide his leadership: explaining decisions, being resilient in action and being results-oriented. He set the example of the 2023 pension reform, despite its unpopularity, showing his commitment to explaining decisions, standing firm in action and measuring the real impact of his actions on everyday life of citizens
