Actress Nicole Kidman will star in the erotic thriller “Babygirl”, from Halina Reijn, director of the horror film “Death Death Death” (Bodies Bodies Bodies, in original version). The information was confirmed this Tuesday (21) by the A24 studio.
Besides Kidman, Harris Dickinson will also star in the film. Casting confirmations include Antonio Banderas, Sophie Wilde and Jean Reno in supporting roles.
This will be the second feature film directed by Halina Reijn, who is also the author.
The plot is expected to feature a successful businesswoman (Kidman) who begins an affair with a younger intern (Dickinson) at her workplace.
The production must therefore explore the dynamics of power and sensuality in professional spaces.
Banderas will play the husband of Kidman’s character, while Sophie Wilde (“Talk to Me”) will play the assistant who observes the case. Reno (“The Big Blue”) will play a rival leader.
Filming is scheduled for December in New York, Variety magazine announced earlier. No release date for the film has yet been announced.
