Jude Bellingham could miss Real Madrid in the duel with Braga, Wednesday (8), at the Santiago Bernabéu, in the fourth round of the group stage of the Champions League. As reported by the Spanish press, medical examinations carried out this Monday morning (6) revealed a dislocation of the left shoulder of the biggest sensation in Spanish football at the moment.
Real, in turn, only communicated that the midfielder did not go on the field with his other teammates in training this beginning of the week and that he was “working inside the facilities”.
The British player was injured during the goalless draw against Rayo Vallecano this Sunday (5), during a match on the 12th day of the Spanish Championship. Ten minutes after the start of the match, he fell following a tackle, with pain in his shoulder.
After being treated, he continued on the field with protection in place and played until the final whistle, unable to help the team leave the field with victory.
Although it was not considered serious, the dislocation could remove Bellingham from Wednesday’s matchup as it poses a risk to his progression in the season.
Recruited by Real Madrid during the last transfer window, after having distinguished himself in the jerseys of Borussia Dortmund and the English team, the young 20-year-old athlete already has 13 goals and three assists in 14 matches. In March 2024, they are expected to face the Brazilian team in a friendly at Wembley Stadium.
In the Champions League, Bellingham has scored goals in all three matches played so far by Real Madrid, against Union Berlin (1-0), Napoli (3-2) and Braga (2-1). They all ended in a victory for the Spanish team, which is why the team led by Carlo Ancelotti is at the top of Group C, with nine points.
