With cries of “champion”, Argentina arrives in Rio to play against Brazil

The Argentine delegation arrived in Rio de Janeiro on Monday evening (20) and was greeted with cries of champions by hundreds of supporters around the Barra da Tijuca hotel.

Hundreds of Argentine fans gathered in Barra da Tijuca and celebrated the welcoming of the current world champion. When the players arrived at the hotel, there were many shouts of champions, which only stopped when world football star Lionel Messi passed by.

Euphoric at the idea of winning the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, the Argentinians sang several songs in memory of their third world championship. Furthermore, there was no shortage of provocations against Brazilians.

At all times, fans chanted the 2021 Copa América title, won against Brazil at the Maracanã itself. We remember Lionel Messi and Di Maria, who scored the decisive goal on this occasion.
